Polestar - Trim & Scheduling Software
Overview
Polestar offers Pattern Development Software (PatDev) for the Pulp and Paper Industry. The demo program (PatDevDM) allows the user to enter width/count combinations, set the machine width (Deckle) and create and view the patterns.
The customized programs(s) installed on the users computer will accept download (Orders) and upload (Patterns). The file formats for the download and upload can be specified by the user. The customized system installed at your location will be done to your specifications. The system can be as simple as a pattern generator or a system that has order entry, inventory control, manual patterns etc. Just tell us what you want and we will do our best to meet your requirements.
PatDev runs under all versions of Windows 95/98/ME/2000/NT/XP and is available in single-user or multi-user versions.
In all pattern development for production there are trade offs.
The major considerations are:

The models used by Polestar optimize for any of the above based on the priority of the constraint while still doing as well as possible on less crucial factors. The customer requirements often dictate that multiple models be installed in a system to handle different machines, products etc.

Polestar has software relating to order entry, inventory control, bill of lading, block scheduling,
and related functions. Polestar will develop custom software on a time-and-material or fixed-bid basis.
