Download and Install Demonstration Version of the Pattern Development Program

Overview:

The demo program allows the user to enter 1 to n Width/count items.
Enter the machine width and number of rolls across (Knives).
Develop the patterns needed to make the rolls.
Use the F1 function key to view the Help File for detailed instructions.

The demo system allows you to save a problem that you have created for reloading. You can have as many problems as you want. A production system will have interfaces to allow you to download orders from, and upload patterns to, your other systems.

System Requirements:

The current version of the Polestar Pattern Development (PatDev) software is a Microsoft Windows application. It runs under all versions of Windows 95/98/ME/2000/NT/XP. As with all Windows systems the Polestar PatDev system uses a lot of resources. PatDev should be run on a computer with a Pentium-class processor with a minimum of 128MB bytes of memory.

Installation Instructions:

Download:

The download is a zip file that contains three files. Setting up the program on your computer requires three steps (Download, Unzip and Install)

(1) Download the zip file (PatDevDM.zip) to any directory.
(2) Unzip the three files setup.exe, SETUP.LST and PatDevDM.CAB
(3) Install the program by double clicking on the setup.exe file.

The installation directory will default to \Program Files\Polestar PatDevDM The program and associated files can be installed in any directory. During the installation proces you will be given the opportunity to change the installation directory.

To run the demo program Click on the Start button, Select All Programs, Find the Polestar link and click on the link.

A shortcut can be created to PatDevDM.exe (This is the executable program).

Click on the link below. When asked where to save the file, make note of the location you select. When the download is complete proceed to step (2).
